I was well into my adult years and was still doing a lot of partying and just generally acting like a teenager. I managed to hold down a full time job and to pay the rent on a decent apartment so I didn’t think that there was anything wrong with what I was doing. I was just having fun. At the time, fun meant staying out until two in the morning when the bars would close and then heading home with whatever guy I happened to be on a date with at the time.
I remember clearly the day that I suddenly realized that I couldn’t keep doing this. It was just a normal day really. I had worked throughout the week and then gone to see a band playing a no-cover show at a bar near my place. When the end of the night came, my date and I debated about whether to go back to his place or mine. We ended up at his.
When I woke up in the morning, I took once glance around the room and saw that it was a complete disaster. I remember looking at the blankets on the bed. I forget if it was skateboard bedding or motocross bedding but it was some sort of teen bedding. My date was 33. I didn’t want to keep doing this until I was his age. I got up and headed back to my own place where I crawled into my bed with its adult sheets. And I started going on dates to the theatre instead of the bar.

We know that candles look great even when there is no occasion to celebrate. During a festive event however, richly scented candles can add a warm glow to your evening at very little cost. While these look perfectly beautiful standing on their own, with no embellishments or accoutrements to adorn them, they are especially stunning when you take a little extra effort to arrange them well. Here are a few tips to place your scented candles strategically at your party.
Place clusters of pillar candles of differing heights artfully arranged on your dining or buffet table as a gorgeous centerpiece. The candles can be of varying heights, but should preferably belong to a single color.
Accessorize your scented jar candles with little brass bangles dropped around the jar, or even napkin rings. A lovely delicate bracelet will also look graceful adorning your jar candle.
Place a group pf candles in font of a mirror. The flickering candles will reflect in the mirror, and you’ll have double the glamour and the glow at the same price!
Place votives in a bowl of water with fresh flower petals strewn on the surface of the water. Or fill a bowl with fresh fruit, fill with water, and then place the votive on top.
Candles can be used to accentuate party décor in more ways than one! So, wow your guests at your next event with some candle magic!

Working in golf doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, if you get creative, you can have a job in golf in no time. Most jobs within the golf industry require an intense amount of training that can only be gained through an extensive and expensive program. Some golf course jobs, though, are easier to come by.
For instance, starters and marshals on the golf course don’t have to go through a long training program in order to get a job. All you need for those golf careers is common sense and the ability to keep the course moving along. You just have to make sure that people are playing at a decent speed and you have to keep guys off of the course if they aren’t meant to be there.
In addition, you can work as a part of the grounds crew for a golf course without a whole lot of training. That is difficult work at most courses, but the pay is often very good. Sure, you may not get to teach golf like you had wanted to, but you will get to be around the game each and every day. For many people, that is the best thing you could possibly ask for.

I am not a girly girl in any sense of the word. In fact, it bugs me like crazy when I display behaviors that seem too girly. One of those behaviors is crying. I cry way too much - and I’m one of those women that doesn’t just cry over sad things or frustrating things but also over happy things. It drives me nuts.
I’m not just one of those women who cries at weddings. I’m one of those women who can’t walk into a wedding stationery store to look at contemporary wedding invitations because just seeing those white roses wedding invitations brings silly tears to my eyes. I don’t even know why and it drives me nuts.
My friends assure me that this is a great trait. It shows my sensitivity and my passion and my interest in the world around me. I tend to think that it shows me as someone who is weak. I don’t like signs of weakness and it drives me batty that I display them.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a lot that I can do about this problem. I have tried to figure out why things cause me to get teary and I just don’t really know. So I’m working on learning to embrace it. I figure that tough women are women who not only know their flaws but who find ways to live with them and to make them into assets.
