If you own a small business or are a sole proprietor, you have a lot to do starting January 2 (since New Year’s Day is a holiday): You have to prepare your business tax returns and do any other tax-related things.

Here is a basic checklist of what you need to get done.

• Prepare 1099 and W-2 tax forms.  If you have employees or contractors who made over $600 in 2008, you will need to send them statements that provide their total earnings for the year.  Contractors get form 1099 and employees get form W-2.  This needs to be done as quickly as possible, at the very least by the end of January, so that your employees and contractors can do their own income taxes.
• Tally your gross income for the year.  Your gross income is the total income your company has been paid, before deducting any expenses.
• Figure out your total business expenses for the year.  You also need to total your business expenses, that is, the total you have spent on valid expenses for running your business.  This will be deducted from your gross income in order to determine your net income.  Note that the IRS has different categories for these expenses; check the appropriate tax form and corresponding instructions to figure out what categories you should divide your expenses into.

You should do these things early, in case there is something that needs to be adjusted, for instance if you decide to look into cost segmentation services in order to determine whether your business property is categorized optimally.

So I’ve been doing a school report about the best HGH and steroid use in professional baseball, and it’s just unbelievable.  I mean, steroids I don’t really get; they seem to have some really nasty side effects. 

The side effects of hgh don’t seem to be nearly as bad, in addition to which, HGH is a naturally occurring thing, so surely it must be harder to detect.  Taking an HGH supplement, especially the best HGH supplement, in a lot of cases, is actually really good for you-except, of course, that it’s illegal in professional sports, whether you agree with that or not  This past summer when the hammer came down so hard on Roger Clemens, it was absolutely brutal.  How could the Rocket, one of baseball’s most legendary pitchers, be juicing? 

I mean that’s like saying the babe had a bionic swing or something.  I don’t even know what would be as bad as that.  Part of me still doesn’t believe it’s true, and part of me kind of sympathizes, in a funny way.  If I were a professional athlete with a weakening arm and people told me I could take a safe and legal (outside of the sport) drug that would change all that, permanently?  I would sign up in a heartbeat. There is nothing wrong with HGH and it has a very positive reputation in the health industry; what a shame that professional sports doesn’t recognize that.

Over the past decade, it has been easy to see where paintball guns were very popular among consumers. For kids who liked to go out and play with their friends in the afternoon and for those players who played the game competitively, new products were being developed each and every year. Now, it looks like the paintball craze might be dying off a little bit. It is possible that Airsoft guns are replacing paintball guns as people look for new ways to have a good time. Instead of buying a paintball gun, a person might spend their hard earned dollars on a Tokyo Marui in this market.

So what differences do these guns bring to the table that the paintball guns might not have been able to match? One of these biggest things is that these guns are much more realistic and they mimic those things that you might actually see out in combat. This is something that people have responded to, as retailers have added military type of guns to their line over the last few years. In addition, it is important to note that KWA guns and other good guns don’t break as often as paintball guns, which regularly featured maintenance problems for many owners.

As part of the training department in a big company I can attest to what can happen when a company doesn’t change with the times.  I am currently heading a project to generate sales leads in our call center and it has been a big switch to transition to this kind of sales environment.  Many of our employees have been resistant to the processes because of our previously weak approach and we have been trying to keep the balance between employee morale and increasing revenue.  We have finally decided to seek the advisement from an inside sales consulting company.
